They were right.

Wow. Is that really my SJ? How did she get so big? I feel like I missed out on something. I feel like it was just last week that I was laughing at people telling me that time flies. I'm sorry I laughed, they were so right.

She was so excited that she had a hard time staying asleep last night - This morning she was up before I was (and Dressed!). We posed for pictures in the front yard and talked all the way to school. George and I walked her down the hallway and into her classroom - where she still wasn't too cool to give us goodbye hugs and kisses without us even having to ask for them. I made it all the way back to the car and even a little down the street before I lost it. I can't wait to see her this afternoon and hear ALL about it!

Sarah Jane,
I am so incredibly proud of you. I'm so sad that our Summer is over and I absolutely cannot believe that you are 6 (and a half) year old - but I just know that you are going to SHINE in the first grade. You're ready - as much as I want you to still be my little punkin', I know you're way past that - I'm so blessed to call you mine. When I grow up, I hope that I can be half of the person you are. You're the most giving, compassionate person I know and I can't wait to see what you add to the 1st grade and what it adds to you. I love you Janey-Lou, that's the first thing you know.
