Routine Monotony

I know, I know...
I'm a terrible about this whole blog update thing.

I wish that I could be more like my friend, Dana, or my friend, Dan... who regularly update their blogs --- but I am just not that dedicated and frankly, I just don't have time!

And if you thought I was bad about updates before, This new kindergarten schedule is KICKING MY BUTT!

Seriously.

Now first, let me say that I was not a baby scheduler --- no offense if you are/were, it's just never been my thing. My life has never been on a set schedule and I didn't intend for it to be or want it to be. Up to this point in my life, I've enjoyed being able to be a "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants-kinda-gal." ...and shockingly enough, Sarah Jane has turned out just fine ---even without 3 scheduled naps, 5 scheduled feedings, 8 scheduled diapers, 18 scheduled laughs, 1 scheduled bath, 2 scheduled outfit changes, 3 scheduled stories, and being put to bed at the same exact time, in the same exact place in the same exact way every day. Okay... maybe I took that to the extreme, but you get the point... and I know you know THOSE people, you might even be one of them. I know them too, and I love them, some of them I love dearly. I just could never do that. Thank the Lord for being able to be different!

But recently... all that has changed. We're up at a certain time, home at a certain time, doing school work at a certain time, playing from a certain time to a certain time, eating at a certain time, bathing at a certain time, reading at a certain time, watching TV at a certain time and doing the bed time thing at a certain time. This newly discovered torture new routine is making ME crazy. However... SJ is loving it. She wakes up Happy, ready to face the world. She comes home knowing what the plan is... which I am sure my plan-fanatic hubby loves. We started this last monday... so we are about a week and half into it and already I find myself wracking my brain to find anything, ANYTHING, ANYTHING to break the mundane-ness up. So far, no luck.

Oh well.

We've got Orientation at the new school tonight from 6:30 to 7:30 ... and I have to tell you, I am so excited about it. YAY, a break in the monotony!!

Well, Until next time... you know, when I can schedule some blogging time in...

I am one of those schedule people and Kindergarten still kicked my butt. And, if you look back to my blog last year when Emma started Kindergarten, you will see that my blogging fell off considerably. You'll get in the groove!

Hang in there, kid. You'll find a routine.

I can assure you that while I may be calmly posting on a regular basis, my life can be pure chaos. In fact, I'm leaking oil most days. If you only knew how many times I've come close to pulling the plug on my blog...in fact, YOU single handedly talked me out of it around the time of my 100th post. Thanks for that - I think :)

You're a good Mom, Jay.
