Last night I did something so insane... something no grown person should ever do. Something just stupid.
I got up and went to the movies... at 10:00... only to stand in line for another hour... only to go sit down for another hour before New Moon Started. That's right, I am one of THOSE people.
I'm one of those crazy MOMs that wore the shirt and braved the crowds at ungodly hours to get one more dose of Edward Cullen and the rest of the Forks, Washington community.
I'm exhausted today...
Was it worth it?? YES! Yes, it was SO worth it.
The movie was FANTASTIC. I laughed, I cried, and I was definitely left wanting more. It didn't really give you another option.
I was so excited to hear that the next movie will be coming out in June... that is less than a year! How exciting!
In the first movie, "Twilight" - there were SEVERAL differences in the book and the movie. However, with this one there were little to no discrepancies.
There was a scene of the two of them running through the meadow (in one of Alice's visions) that was almost comical and completely inaccurate. Also, Edward doesn't say my very favorite line from the book in the movie... "When I said that I didn't want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy"
But, in a movie to book comparison... if you only have two complaints, I think that is pretty good.
The movie get 4 stars from me, It was fantastic. I think EVERYONE should read the books, and then head to the movies!
Next on the movie list -- "The Blind Side" -- I heard that it was Sandra Bullock's best performance to date.

Okay, I'm not as crazy as you are but I did go see it this morning. Btw, 10 a.m. on Saturday morning is the perfect way to go opening weekend without having teenage girls yelling in your ears.
Anyway, it's funny because that one scene was my only complaint. Totally out of place. Any other discrepancies were necessary for time. Otherwise, it would have been a 10 hour movie. I thought it was great, can't wait for the next one.
